Six minutes from a Saturday webinar Yousif Alias ran for business owners. He covers how he trains his AI agent after every booked call, why you always pay for clients with money or with time, what a buyer looks at when they value your company, and why sales comes before content, funnels and likes.
The short version
- 1. Train the agent like a new hire. Listen to the calls it books, write notes, and rewrite the prompt.
- 2. Pick how you pay. Every client costs you money or time. Yousif chose money.
- 3. Clients are what make a company worth something. Buyers ask about clients, monthly recurring revenue and profit, not your lead list.
- 4. Sell first. Talk to customers. Everything else comes second.
An AI agent you set and forget will fail
Yousif listens to every call his AI agent books. He writes notes on each one, puts them on a single page, and hands that page to Claude with a plain request: give me a better prompt so the agent can handle a price objection, or give me a prompt so the agent confirms the call and the person actually shows up.
His rule is to treat the agent the way you would treat a new employee. You train a person, you teach them how you do things, and they get better. An agent won't teach itself. You go back into the prompt and make the edits.
You pay with money or with time
Getting clients always costs something. Yousif paid with his time for years and decided to stop, because paying for clients is simpler and faster. Compare how many business owners you would have to cold call to land one client with what a small ad budget brings in.
His point is that some people spend money to save time and others spend huge amounts of time to save money, then reach the end of the month with nothing to pay the bills.
Why breaking even on ads can still be a win
If you spend 10,000 on marketing and make 10,000 back, you still added clients, and clients are what raise the value of your company. When someone wants to buy a business, they don't ask about your leads. They ask how many clients you have, your monthly and annual recurring revenue, and your profit and loss.
Sales comes first
While everyone argues about which AI model to use, Yousif's advice is to go make sales: talk to customers and have personal conversations with them. He shares that his team once ran the wrong ad for nine months with a broken booking link and didn't notice, because they were busy calling leads and still closing deals.
He has also noticed that when he spends time posting and editing content, sales dip. Conversations with people come first, and the numbers, likes and views are noise.
